Where the interview fits
Hiiu Live host registration has two steps. In step one you submit your nickname, real avatar, real album, personal video and other requested information. In step two you receive an interview call. If you have not done step one yet, start with our host registration guide.
What the policy requires on the call
The policy states two requirements for the interview:
- Show your full face. Not partly covered, not off-camera, not hidden by filters or poor lighting.
- Introduce yourself. A short, natural self-introduction.
The interview is also the point at which the person on camera can be compared with the avatar, album and video submitted at registration, which is why those need to be genuinely yours.
Why you should not miss the call
The policy warns that repeatedly rejecting or missing interview calls may affect registration eligibility. It does not give a number of allowed misses, so the safe approach is to treat every interview call as one you need to answer.
A simple readiness checklist
- Keep your phone charged, unmuted and close by after you apply.
- Stay on a stable internet connection.
- Choose a well-lit spot where your whole face is visible.
- Have a two or three sentence introduction ready.
- Take the call yourself. Do not ask anyone else to appear for you.
The same standards apply after the interview
Full-face visibility and no substitution are not just interview rules. They continue to apply on calls once you are hosting, and breaking them can lead to account restrictions, coin deductions or a freeze. See the Hiiu Live hosting rules for the full list.
What we cannot tell you
The policy we work from does not state how soon the interview call arrives after registration, how long it lasts or how quickly a result is given. If you have applied and need help, contact us.
